My sister had so many great ideas and this event was one where I had some ideas to contribute but really helped her to bring her ideas to fruition. My biggest and most time consuming contribution was sewing lace that we had found at tag sales ($$$ saver!!) onto burlap for her tablecloths. But these added immensely to the look of the tables! I also helped her to glue lace onto mason jars for her centerpieces and votives, which turned out fabulous! And we made a banner out of lace doilies that turned out super chic. All of these things my sister was able to sell after the wedding to another bride with a similar theme.
We enlisted my Dad's help in building her cupcake stand and photo booth.... And I have now learned that my Dad is my secret weapon in party planning as he is really great at making things out of wood! We also had the idea for a S'mores bar as a unique twist on the 'Candy Bar' although her mother in law decided to add an old fashioned candy bar to the day as well. Although I didn't plan this event by myself I am super proud of how amazing it turned out. It also taught me I could plan and set up a party while pregnant :)
I sewed this clutch for my sister to use in keeping with the theme |

Oh wow!! How beautiful wedding and everyone looks so gorgeous in this wedding ceremony. Look at this wedding venue decoration. It loved the lighting of the venue. Hey, have you book any event planner for managing these decorations?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I was the event planner for decorating this wedding.
