When my sister told me she wanted an Elvis themed bridal shower...I knew I had my work cut out for me! But I was ready for the challenge! This would be a true test of my event planning skills as nothing could really be store bought and Pinterest wasn't exactly bursting with ideas.
I decided that each table would be named after one of his more popular (and themed) movies and we decorated accordingly. Everyone was baffled by this theme but when they saw the shower decorated they thought it was super fun and different.
When I have a good theme I like to tie as much as possible into it and got the idea for the escort cards to be VIP passes like they were at a premiere. I even tracked down an Elvis cookbook for guests to sign (which also went along with the more traditional vibe of a typical wedding shower). We also had a create your own ice cream sundae bar as she was doing the more popular candy bar at the actual wedding.
The shower was a blast and showed me that ANY theme can be accomplished :)

ReplyDeleteNo words to describe the hard work and efforts done for wedding shower decorations. Hoping to attend my cousin's wedding next week. Got invitation for event venue in LA but finding difficult to cope up with work commitments. Had a phonic conversation regarding best preparations done for the big day.
