Pirate 1st Birthday Party

Ever since my son was born my sister & I have loved to dress him in skull things.  Don't ask me why, but he just looks so darn cute!  So it only seemed fitting that I throw him a pirate birthday bash!

I wanted the party to look amazing and also be fun for the many older cousins and friends that would be attending.  I decided I wanted a photo booth and it had to be....a pirate ship!  My dad was again enlisted and the final product was amazing!!!!  The wheel even spun so kids could pretend they were driving.  I put together a prop bucket and the kids had a blast playing on the ship and dressing up.  The kids also loved my other creation: a tattoo parlor where kids could put temporary pirate tattoos on.  So fun!

I also ordered some really cool pirate themed food cards on Etsy and came up with foods I could label with cool things like 'Peg Legs', 'Cannon Balls' etc. and all with the pirate slang.
